Kenpo X: Round 2, Day 6

Today was a pretty good workout. Drew handled it better than I figured, next week is gonna be a step up for sure!

I'm contemplating going back to eating Fish. Haven't decided yet.

Monday 5-10-10

Starting Monday my brother and I area going to start P90X. So I will be stopping my Hybrid schedule... plus it's killing me on Cardio days... I don't think I'm ready for Insanity yet.

I'll be working out tomorrow and taking a break this weekend and starting super hard monday. Also will be on my off cycle for the first 30 days with no Creatine!

Day 123: Biceps and Back; Cardio Abs

Well another day down in the books. Feeling pretty good physically. I really like the changes that are coming my way. Abs are really starting to pop in and my back is starting to look more and more ripped as the fat melts away.

My brother will be moving in shortly to workout with me and get on a clean eating diet. Once he does, for the sake of him, I'm going to start this cycle over so he gets to experience the beginning stuff.

Round 2 of P90X/Insanity is going well, I'm going to jack up the intensity tomorrow and start phase 2 with a bang!

Recovery week!

Well, I'm in the middle of my recovery week. Here's a video of the guy that came up with my hybrid schedule, it's boring... so watch at your own risk.

Also, I took a silly ab picture for the hell of it, I actually am starting to show... very excited. Picture below.

For anyone that cares, I've been strict vegetarian for the past 30 days (only taking in dairy) and I LOVE IT! I'll also post my day 1 vs day 120 picture this coming Sunday, so staaaaay tuuuuneeeed.

Day 110: Back & Biceps; Cario Abs

Well, I'm going to start blogging more again. I need to get back out there and show the world what I'm doing. I might even open up a little personally about myself depending on how I feel.

I recently found a P90X/Insanity Hybrid workout that is doing wonders, I've lost 8lbs so far this round which is nice. I'll add a pic at the bottom of this just to show were I'm at right now. It's not a comparison shot, so you'll have to go back in the posts to see where I started, but I feel and think I look better than ever!

I'll post up what my hybrid schedule looks like when I'm a little less tired.

Day 1 vs Day 90!

Well round 1 of P90X is in the books! I'm starting round 2 today, but I wanted to show you how much weight I've dropped from round 1!

Most people won't see the 'ripped'ness in these pictures and that's fine... I wasn't anywhere near the 'sweet spot' that you need to get those results, but I dropped 25lbs since Jan 4th and am now in the sweet spot. So round 2 should bring in the ripped look.

Day 82: Legs & Backs; AB Ripper X

I'm about to jump into the last Leg's and Back routine of this round of P90X. I figured I would just very briefly go over my thoughts on this work out.

I love what's it's done for my body and how it's made me physically feel. My weight, as of October 2009 was 221 lbs, when I started P90X on January 4th I was 210 lbs. As of day 82, I'm down to 182 lbs.

I will be starting Round 2 after this round and will post a Day 90 picture when the time comes.

Day 57: Chest and Back; AB Ripper X

OMG, this workout still kicks my ass. I felt like complete crap doing this workout. I got new area that I start today at work. There's been some work drama and bad unwarranted reputation lies going on as well. So my nerves are shot and I ate a couple cookies last night so that probably was a huge mistake. Needless to say I didn't do AB Ripper X.

Not a good start to the last stretch. Fail me.

Day 45: Back and Biceps

Wow, tonight was a good workout. I took three scoops, which is the max dose, of Jack3d which really gave me and awesome drive during my workout.

I opened up the night with 20 unassisted Wide grip pull ups... that's a record for me. I had a real good pump all night and was feeling really good about myself until AB Ripper X came.

I still hate that SO much.

I'm officially at the half way point of my first round of P90X.

I'll continue to push play and BRING IT!

Sorry I've been away.

It's been a while since I've posted. I start third shift tonight so I need to shift a lot of things around. I've been super busy dealing with personal things, but I've pushed play on the days that matter!

I'm starting week 3 of Phase 2, so once I do my workout tonight, I'll post a little blog about my progress up to this point.

Day 34: Kenpo X

I love love LOVE Kenpo X. Not sure what it is that I like about it exactly. I think it's that I'm just kicking the hell out of nothing in front of me feeling all bad ass... and working up a killer sweat. Oh well, it is one of the more fun of the workouts.

Also ordered more recovery drink, whey protein, and Jack3d! So pumped about this routine!

So I slacked only in the blog department this week.

Day 31 was Biceps & Back, which I'm STILL feeling in the biceps (as I post this at 3am Saturday morning).

Day 32 was Yoga X, nothing exciting to state here. I hate Yoga.

Day 33 was Legs & Back. I dislike Dreya Weber, she annoys me for some reason.

This was only a "hey, I'm still bringin' it" post. I'll get back to caring about my blog tomorrow!

Day 29: Triceps, Shoulders, and Chest; AB Ripper X - a.m.

Holy shit, did you catch that a.m. part? That's right, I said a.m. You might ask why I put that down, well... I'm starting P90X doubles today. Tonight I will hit it nice with a Cardio X workout and post again with a p.m.

So today was hell, after my recovery week my arms were completely rested and didn't expect the workout I was gonna have. I can already feel the soreness creeping up on me. The pain is so, so SO, nice.

Anyway, it's almost lunch time. Cardio X is gonna make me feel like poop I'm sure. Post in a couple hours.

Day 23 & 24: Core Synergistics and Kenpo X

Well, still trucking along through recovery week. I think I know what this week is for... your body forgets what lifting weights is like, so when Monday comes back around it's gonna kill me. Exciting.

Core work on Tuesday was a good work out, it has everything. Lots of odd push-ups and weird run poses. All in all, fun time.

Kenpo X still kicks ass. I did that today.

Boring, I know. I don't plan on going into to much detail this week. I have some other things going on and I just am kinda tired lately. I'll be picking up my energy levels on Monday for sure!

Day 22: Yoga X - Recovery week!

Well this is day one of my recovery week. I'm excited. I'm on the home stretch of knocking out the first 30 days. I'm on schedule to drop almost 10 lbs in the first 30 days. Very VERY nice. This weeks blog posts will be slightly boring, but I don't care. I'm focusing on mental release and calming my week down.

Starting the next 30 days I'm doing doubles. That means on every weight day, I'll be doing Cardio X after or late at night when I get home... AB Ripper X still included in that. Talk about Bring it!

Day 20: Kenp X

I told that air where to stick! I kicked it's shit.

In all seriousness, I worked up an amazing sweat. After my warm-up I managed to keep a 170 bpm just by punching and kicking that little air bitches ass. It was such an amazing feat of destroying it was even making a movie about my epic air destroying... I'm protrayed by a little asian man. Enjoy.

Day 18 & 19: Yoga X and Legs & Back

Well I still hate yoga, it's such a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong work out. I wish I could be more bendy and flexy. Oh well, one of these days it will be easier for me and I'll enjoy it, I hope.

Legs and Back is a good workout, I love it. I can really push out the pull ups now and my legs are getting stronger. The only issue with this day is the follow of Ab Ripper X. It kills my legs. Fifer Scissors, In and Outs, and Bicycles destroy my legs!

Later today... Kenpo X. I'm gonna DESTROY the air in my work out room.





Side note... Book of Eli is a good movie... Avatar is still the best ever.

Day 17: Arms & Shoulders; Ab Ripper X

I love this day! I don't know what it is about Arms and Shoulder work-outs, but damn... it hurts so good. Great sweet and amazing reps...

Ab Ripper X is another story, I hate this exercise, but love it so much. I've managed to up my reps (every exercise is 25 reps)... I get around 70% of them completed before I just run out of gas. Good stuff.

Day 16: Plyometrics

Well after tweaking my knee last week, I decide to go back into ply just to see how it went. I managed to get through the whole workout.... and then throw up at the end during the cooldown. I hate jumping.

This is a short post, I need to catch up to Day 17 and head to work...

Post catch up and Day 15: Back & Chest; AB Ripper X

I didn't post up over the weekend, and I missed Kenpo X day. I helped my Dad at my sister's house and then celebrated my 27th birthday with my family on Sunday. I had a huge cheat meal, bad bad me.

Onto today, Day 15. I thought that instead of posted my basic "great work out, sweating, whine sniffles...", I'd put my day 1 work-out reps vs today's work-out:

Reverse Grip Chin-Ups: 10

Decline Push-Ups: 5 (I really REALLY hate these!)

Diamond Push-Ups: 2 (Hahaha, so so weak.)

Day 15

As you can see, I've improved in lots of area's and maintained in others. Over all I'm happy with my results so far. My weight is starting to drop quickly. I think my body finally stopped holding in water due to my work out shock. Remember, this is my first time working out since High School... about 10 years ago.

Day 12: Leg's and Back; Ab Ripper X

Today was my first workout using Jack3d. If you are unfamiliar with Jack3d, it's a pre-workout supplement and it's supposed to up your energy and focus. It does work. I pushed myself the hardest I've today than I have this whole workout. I enjoyed it and plan on using it many times... until tomorrow... bye.

Day 11: Yoga X

I cheated today, I substituted Yoga X for Cardio X again. I can't stand Yoga and I think it's shit. Instead of telling you a lot about how this day went... I taped my work out and will post the video below. Enjoy.

Day 10: Arms & Shoulders; Ab Ripper X

Yes yes, I know. I'm playing catch up on my posts. Figured I knock them out while I wait on my friend Ryan to get on Xbox Live (it is my cooldown time after all)

On to Arms and shoulders. Last week I had to skip this day and do cardio x instead due to weak and over strained arms. This being my first work out of this type... I loved it! I realized that I need bigger weights now, I'm a little stronger than I thought I was. This workout did kick my ass, but it was a good ass kicking. It was around the 40 min mark of the 58 minute workout that my arms felt like fucking noodles. Isn't that what a good arm workout is supposed to feel like though, kick ass.

Today was also my birthday. Hard to believe that I waited until 27 to get in good shape.

Day 9: Plyometrics

Well, I hate Plyo, it hurts my knees to much. So I think I'll be switching out Plyo for Cardio until I get in better shape.

My weight hasn't dropped a lot yet, but I can tell that there is change. I have more energy through the day, I get up earlier and go to bed earlier. My pants are getting loose around the waist and baggier in the legs, my shirts are starting to get loose too. I'm pleased so far.

2nd day doing Chest and Back, I managed to get through the full workout and improve over last week. Go me. AB Ripper X kicked my ass however. Tomorrow is Plyo and I'm not exactly excited about it.

Week 1 down!

Well, it's day 7, rest day. Or stretch-x... I've decided to rest as my body isn't as sore as it was on Monday. This workout kicks my butt, I can't wait for the 90 days to go by. I've been feeling better lately, I can only imagine what I'll feel like when this round is complete. Maybe my blog post will get more entertaining once I start really getting into the thick of this workout.

Day 6: Kenpo X

I rather enjoyed this workout, which was actually done yesterday, but I was to tired to post. It's a lot of air punching, grunting, and kicking. I didn't work up a tremendous sweat during this work out, but I felt good and the hour went by a heck of a lot faster than I imagined it would have.

I'm a day late on this post, sorry. Leg's and back was a nice little workout. Not as hardcore as Chest and Back, but certaintly got a great sweat going.

I have Kenpo X for Day 6... I'll post later after I do the workout around 8-9pm. I have family plans today so it's pushing that workout until much later in the day!

Day 3: Arms & Shoulders; Ab Ripper X

Well, my arms are still super sore from Monday, so I was advised by my fitness coach to skip the arms and shoulders and subsitute in Cardio X and still do Ab Ripper X. I was weak after the work-out but worked up an amazing sweat and felt pretty good. I have legs and back on Friday. Tomorrow is Yoga X. I can't wait to get my wicked stretch on.

Day 2: Plyometrics

Well, here it is, day 2... squat, jump, jump, jump, squat squat squat, jump heisman, jump. Repeat... forever!

I haven't jumped that much since I was like... 5. I know my mother reads this... so mom, get my a trampoline, it'll make this so much easier on my legs!

Walking is overrated. Let's jump!

Day 1: Back & Chest; AB Ripper X

Well here's my P90X blog, you can find a million like this on the web, but mine won't be as funny or informative. This is just a way for me to keep track of myself and be accountable to finish the program. I want to be a different person by this time next year. I have some goals in mind: Weight, under 185. Body fat percentage, under 10%. I have a year, lets see if I can get it done. With that said......

What did I get myself into?! Geeeez. Today is the day that I realized how out of shape I'm in. I'm not going to go into all the details of each work out that I did on this day, you can look it up on-line by searching for P90X. I pushed myself very hard today, I felt like I was going to die. I could barely do half of AB Ripper X and I pushed to hard through the first half of Chest and Back. If I'm gonna make it through week one, I'll need to pace myself a little better.

Tomorrow is Plyometrics day, help.
